CAAS MRV - Magnetic Resonance Ventricular analysis software

CAAS MRV (Magnetic Resonance Ventricular analysis) enables cardiologists and radiologists to quickly quantify the performance of the heart. Besides functional analysis, we offer infarct and myocardial perfusion analysis and functional analysis on left and right ventricles from cine MR images, automatic segmentation of the endo- and epicardial heart wall and papillary muscles on short axis images of the left ventricle. The accuracy of the calculated volumes can be optimized for the apex and valve region by segmentation of long axis (2 and 4 chamber) images. CAAS MRV allows to save intermediate analysis results and to redo or adapt the analysis by reloading these stored information.


    Functional analysis:
  • Analysis of left and right ventricle;
  • Automatic, semi-automatic or manual segmentation;
  • Segmentation of endo-, epicardial and papillary contours;
  • Use long-axis (2 and 4 chamber) images to optimize the short-axis contours.

Reports:
CAAS MRV has an extensive result section. You can easily customize the report to view the results of interest. The American Heart Association (AHA) 17 segment model is supported for all result types. Save your analysis as a re-analysis file and re-load it later; customized graphic report containing images, graphs and bulls’ eyes can be saved as a DICOM SC. All result types are supported by the AHA 17 segment model. After analyzing the images, you can save your analysis as a spreadsheet containing all numerical results.

Import/Export:
Movie of the DICOM cine images are available. Analysis can be done on cine MR images. You can load short-axis images and/or long axis (2 and 4 chamber) images.

CAAS MR Flow - Magnetic Resonance Flow analysis software

CAAS MR Flow enables the user to perform analysis on Phase-Contrast MR images to quantify pulmonary and aortic blood flow and velocity. The one click vessel edge detection algorithm offers time saving and reliable automatic segmentation for all types of vessels. Up to four regions of interest (ROI) per series with standardized anatomical designations can be segmented for direct calculation of pulmonary shunt fraction, aortic co-arctation and pulmonary regurgitation. Furthermore, results over time (e.g. flow, mean velocity, area) are calculated. The results can be corrected for magnetic field inhomogeneities by gradient and phantom corrections. The flow can be corrected for vessel motion as well. All results are available in graphs and tables.


  • One click vessel border detection which segments the vessel throughout the cardiac cycle
  • Up to 4 regions of interest per flow series and comparison of multiple flow sets of one study
  • Several correction methods to achieve the most optimal accuracy (aliasing and misalignment correction, movement correction and gradient and phantom correction)

Reports:
Results can be calculated for 4 regions of interest. When the user designates a contour, CAAS MR Flow immediately provides anatomically related parameters such as cardiac output, pulmonary shunt fraction, aortic co-arctation, pulmonary regurgitation. Furthermore, the following results are calculated over time: pumped blood volume, blood flow, mean velocity, vessel area.
