    ePosters

Read the ePOS-Electronic Posters which involve the Esaote's Ultrasound & dedicated MRI systems: they are presented on the occasion of outstanding international events & congresses and cover the up-to-date topics of scientific trends. The main dedicated MRI and Ultrasound highlights are presented by KOLs worldwide recognized as major reference sites.

ePosters 2018

At ECR 2018 several ePOS (Electronic Posters) involving Esaote Ultrasound and MRI systems will be presented, covering Ultrasound and dedicated MRI applications and technologies:>

ECR 2018 / #3180: C-0454 Spine Facet Joint Injections (FJI) and RadioFrequency Ablation (RFA) under Ultrasound-CT and Ultrasound-MRI fusion guidance: feasibility study using a multipurpose magnetic tracking system

Congress: ECR 2018
Poster No.: C-0454
Field: Interventional MSK
Authors: G. Bizzarri, A. Bianchini, D. Valle, L. Di Vito, L. Velari, S. De Nuntis, A. Dell'Era; Albano Laziale/IT
Nowadays, intra-articular injections and RFA are mainly performed using fluoroscopy or CT guidance. The study reports preliminary experiences with ultrasound-CT/MRI Fusion guidance, to avoid the problem of spatial resolution and absence of radiation reducing time and costs.

ECR 2018 / #4275: C-1387 Morphological brain images acquired with a tilting MRI scanner: feasibility and quality evaluations

Congress: ECR 2018
Poster No.: C-1387
Field: Head Coil MRI
Authors: M. Laganà, S. Carrara, M. Olmi, M. Cresti, L. Forzoni, P. Cecconi
Tilting MRI scanners allow to examine a subject also in the sitting position, for Weight-Bearing (WB) MRI studies. Morphological 3D T1 brain images acquired with a tilting 0.25 T and a 1.5 T MRI scanner were compared in this study. The quality of the former was compared to the latter through the evaluation of contrasts between different tissues, Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and tissue segmentation performance.

ECR 2018 / #1832: C-0784 Elastography for evaluation of patellar tendon and quadriceps tendon elasticity: effect of knee position

Congress: ECR 2018
Poster No.: C-0784
Field: Interventional MSK
Authors: N. Romano, A. Fischetti, G. Rebella, G. Salsano, M. Marino, A. Muda
To date, in musculoskeletal applications there are several studies applying ultrasound elastography to evaluate Achilles tendon but, to our knowledge, very few studies have investigated the clinical feasibility of ultrasound elastography in the assessment of patellar and quadriceps tendons. The purposes of our work are to establish the normal ultrasound elastography appearance of the patellar tendon and quadriceps tendon and to determine the effect of knee position on their elasticity.

ECR 2018 / C-0851 The wittiest and easiest-to-remember ultrasound signs: a look beyond mere ultrasound imaging of the peripheral nerves

Congress: ECR 2018
Poster No.: C-0851
Field: diagnosis
Authors: N. Romano, A.Fischetti, L.R.Saitta, A.Muda
High resolution ultrasound is an excellent cost-effective modality in imaging of the peripheral nerve system, useful to evaluate compressive, inflammatory, traumatic and neoplastic pathologies of the peripheral nerves. Our exhibit should benefit any student, resident or fellow wishing to review the imaging features, anatomy and pathology of the peripheral nerve high resolution ultrasound. In daily activity, the knowledge of radiology signs is very helpful to add confidence to the diagnosis of certain pathologies.
