VET Ultrasound Clinical Solutions - Diagnosis
How do you make the best use of all Esaote’s ultrasound and MRI solutions, in order to reach a better, faster, or more precise diagnosis?
Esaote offers several tools that enable the veterinarian to perform diagnostics with greater accuracy and confidence.
Examples of these diagnostic tools can be found in the following section.
In farm animal medicine, possibilities for diagnostics are often limited in comparison to the companion animals. This is due to the fact that the work is on farm instead of in a clinic, this makes several diagnostic procedures often too time consuming. An extra reason to make optimal use of the diagnostics that are available most of the time, like ultrasound.
Most farm animal vets work on reproduction ultrasound on a regular basis. For this reason, they often have an ultrasound system with an Esaote endo rectal transducer quickly available. Though this probe is used mostly for fertility purposes, it can be used for different patients as well (See also: Clinical Solutions, Therapy & Intervention).
Calves with lung disorders are a good example. The Esaote endo rectal transducer can be used for diagnosing of lung disorders. In this way it can greatly support the decision making process of the on farm veterinarian.
The following video explains the use of the Esaote Endo Rectal Probe for the purpose of diagnosing lung disorders in calves.
Esaote equipment can be used for multiple purposes. The veterinary endo rectal transducer can, in combination with a for example a Tringa, MyLab™One, MyLab™Delta be used for characterization of lung disorders in calves. Use of a sector probe like the AC 2541 even leads to better image quality.
Esaote Veterinary challenges its users to get the most out of their equipment. Utilization of the full range of possibilities of our probes and machines enables accurate on farm diagnosis.
