Since its foundation, Esaote has focused its engagement on developing products and solutions both for non-invasive diagnostics - Ultrasound, MRI - and for Healthcare Information Technology.
What We do
From the beginning of its activity Esaote devoted a major commitment in understanding and responding to the diagnostic needs perceived as most relevant: accuracy and precision of the clinical image as required by doctors on one hand, quality of diagnosis to improve the quality of life of the patients on the other.
This way of thinking led to pioneering achievements in the medical imaging field delivering technological innovative solutions.
The acquired specialization in diagnostic imaging has created new perspectives even for mini-invasive surgery, that is a branch to which Esaote is devoting great attention and targeted resources.
Ultrasound Diagnostic Imaging
The design, manufacturing and sale of diagnostic ultrasound systems account for over 60% of the activity of Esaote, ranked among the leading players worldwide in the field.
The clinical applications are multiple: abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular, cardiology, obstetrics, gynecology. In recent years, systems for specific applications in orthopedics, rheumatology, anesthesia and emergency care have been developed.
Esaote is the international leader in the field of dedicated MRI.
Thanks to the immediate insight into the prospects of use and improvement in MRI Imaging, Esaote has earned the 85% of this market and over 2800 systems dedicated to the musculoskeletal compartment and to the scientific study of extremities are now installed worldwide.
The rapidly and constantly increasing need of digital solutions aimed at facilitating the management of hospital departments and clinical workflow optimization has led Esaote to invest in Healthcare Information Technology, thus becoming – through its Company EBIT and its subsidiary Pie Medical Imaging – one of the major European players in this field.
Interventional and Mini-Invasive
The research developed by Esaote is making great strides even in the interventional field, channeling its activities in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
