The 37th Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR 2026) will take place in Montpellier, France, from June 9 to 12, 2026, bringing together the international community dedicated to gastrointestinal and abdominal imaging.
Hosted at Le Corum, Montpellier’s prestigious congress centre, the meeting is set in a city with a long-standing medical heritage and home to Europe’s oldest active medical school. This setting reflects ESGAR’s tradition of scientific excellence and its commitment to advancing education, research, and clinical practice in abdominal radiology.
ESGAR 2026 will open with a postgraduate course focused on the biliary system, offering a comprehensive journey from embryology and normal anatomy to the full spectrum of congenital, inflammatory, traumatic, infectious, and neoplastic conditions. The course is designed to provide an integrated understanding of complex pathologies through the latest diagnostic approaches and interventional strategies.
The main congress programme will address state-of-the-art developments in gastrointestinal and abdominal imaging, including artificial intelligence, image-guided therapies, and innovations in oncologic interventional radiology. A wide range of educational formats will support practical learning and clinical application.
